Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Commitment

The Writing Box was funded based on equality, diversity and inclusion values.

We are committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination.

Our purpose is for our workforce, partners and collaborators to represent all sections of society genuinely and for them to feel respected and able to give their best.

We aim to:

  • provide equality, fairness, inclusion and respect for all in our employment, whether temporary, part-time or full-time;
  • not unlawfully discriminate based on age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, disability, nationality, and ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation as described by the Equality Act 2010;
  • encourage equality, diversity and inclusion in the company, and also to our clients, considering these are a good practice to encourage;
  • create an inclusive working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, promoting a friendly and respectful space with respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all staff are recognised and valued;
  • enforce that complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination by fellow employees, customers, suppliers, visitors, the public and any others in the course of the organisation’s work activities are taken seriously;
  • encourage training and development opportunities for our staff to develop their full potential.
